How to connect Outlook 2003 to your mailbox

  1. Open Outlook, and go to Tools > Email Accounts from the menu. You will then see the following screen. Select the option to Add a new e-mail account and click Next.

  2. On the next screen, select POP3 and click Next.

  3. You will then be prompted for the details of your mailbox. Enter the following settings:
    • Your Name: Your name as you want it to appear in the From line of emails
    • E-mail Address: Your email address
    • Incoming Mail Server (POP3) / Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.ampheon.com
    • User Name: Your email address
    • Password: The password for your mailbox

  4. Click on the More Settings ... button and enter the following information:
    • Mail Account: Enter a descriptive name for your mailbox
    • Organization: Enter your company name, or your own name if this is a private mailbox
    • Reply E-mail: Your email address

  5. Click on the Outgoing Server tab and select the options My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

  6. Click OK to close the popup window, then Next and Finish to conclude the mailbox setup.
